Cohere is expanding its UK operations by relocating to 100 New Oxford Street in London, nearly tripling its current office footprint. The new location provides over 14,000 square feet of workspace, allowing the company to accommodate up to 100 employees. This expansion places Cohere at the heart of one of Europe’s strongest AI clusters, close to leading AI talent. The move is part of a broader strategy to accelerate sovereign AI development in Europe, as demand for secure, enterprise-grade AI continues to rise.

The expansion marks a strategic milestone in Cohere’s European growth, following key developments such as its intent to collaborate with Germany’s Aleph Alpha, the acquisition of Reliant AI, and Memorandums of Understanding with Spain’s Indra Group and the UK Government. These partnerships are designed to support sovereign AI initiatives while expanding Cohere’s customer base through deals with industry leaders like RWS and The Aston Martin Aramco Formula One Team.

Cohere’s London presence has long been central to its engineering, research, and commercial operations, with both CEO Aidan Gomez and CTO Phil Blunsom based in the UK. The company continues to invest in AI talent across engineering, applied machine learning, infrastructure, and customer deployment teams. With strong revenue from contracts in highly regulated sectors, Cohere’s London footprint aligns with the city’s strengths in financial and professional services, where its sovereign AI solutions are particularly well suited.
