2. What we collect and why

Analytics (only with your consent). If you accept analytics cookies, we use Google Analytics 4 to measure aggregated, anonymous usage (pages viewed, approximate region, device type). We do not use this data to identify you and we do not run advertising or remarketing.
Newsletter (only if you sign up). If you subscribe, we store your email address to send the AI News Daily newsletter. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email.
Technical logs. Our infrastructure provider (Cloudflare) processes standard request data (IP address, user agent) transiently to deliver the site securely and prevent abuse. This is necessary for the service to function.

3. Cookies and similar technologies

We do not set any non-essential cookies until you give consent. When you first visit, all analytics signals are set to “denied” (Google Consent Mode v2) and no Google Analytics script is loaded. Only if you choose “Accept all” is the analytics script loaded and a cookie set.

4. Legal basis

Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) — secure, abuse-free delivery of the site via transient technical logs.

5. Processors we use

Google (Google Analytics 4) — analytics, only after consent.
Cloudflare — hosting, CDN and security.
Brevo — newsletter delivery, only if you subscribe.

These providers act as processors on our behalf and may transfer data outside the EU under appropriate safeguards (e.g. EU Standard Contractual Clauses).

6. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, and port your data, and to object to processing. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting prior processing. 7. Data retention

Analytics data is retained for up to 24 months. Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe. Technical logs are retained only briefly for security purposes.
