Meta has launched a new app called Pocket, which enables users to create small, interactive apps and games using AI prompts. The app, which is based on Meta’s acquisition of the team behind the vibe-coded gaming platform Gizmo, is described as 'a creative platform for making and sharing gizmos.' It features a scrollable feed where users can explore and play with gizmos created by others. According to data from app intelligence provider Appfigures, Pocket was first launched on June 29, 2026, on the App Store and Google Play. The firm noted that the app is new and cannot yet determine if it has seen any downloads. The app's release was first noticed by reverse engineer Alessandro Paluzzi, who shared a Play Store screenshot on X. The app mirrors many features of Gizmo, including the use of AI prompts to build interactive experiences and a discovery feed. Meta has not yet responded to a request for comment. Pocket is part of Meta’s broader strategy to make AI creation tools more mainstream, following its earlier efforts with AI-generated images and videos. It has also integrated AI features into its social platforms and video-editing app for creators, Edits. The app’s release comes as Meta continues to expand its AI offerings, though it has not officially announced Pocket’s debut. The app is likely still in its initial experimentation phase, given that it has not been officially announced. Its counterpart, Gizmo, had generated 635K lifetime installs across both iOS and Google Play, according to Appfigures, which noted it had a 98% positive sentiment.
