Amazon released Amazon Quick and Amazon Bedrock AgentCore on April 2024, saying it enables supply chain teams to get actionable insights from fragmented data in seconds, with a single conversational thread. It is the company's first software update in the supply chain intelligence category since 2022.

Amazon reported no specific benchmark score, but the tools are designed to reduce the time needed for critical decisions from 45–60 minutes across five systems to seconds. That compares with the prior manual process of correlating data from ERP, monitoring, procurement, and email systems.

Amazon Quick is built on the Amazon Bedrock AgentCore platform and targets supply chain operations, including inventory management, disruption analysis, and procurement. Availability begins in April 2024, initially for enterprise users and supply chain managers.

"Every supply chain generates constant signals: orders in approval, shifting lead times, slowing ports, drifting prices, disruptions," said Anurag Sharma, Senior Vice President of Machine Learning at Amazon. The tools aim to close the gap between data and decision-makers by providing real-time, cross-system insights.

The announcement follows Amazon's focus on AI-driven enterprise solutions in 2023. Amazon said the tools are part of its broader strategy to integrate AI into business processes, adding no judgment on the market impact.

Amazon did not say how many enterprises will adopt the tools in the first year, and the open question remains about how well the system handles complex, multi-step supply chain scenarios. The tools will be available for deployment by the end of Q2 2024.
