Amazon announced the release of Amazon Bedrock AgentCore, a tool designed to automate the creation of client PowerPoint presentations from financial documents. The solution is intended to reduce the time financial services teams spend manually generating presentations by leveraging AI agents and cloud infrastructure. It is the company's latest advancement in AI-driven software solutions for enterprise applications.
The system processes user requests in under 90 seconds during internal testing, according to Amazon. This performance is achieved through a combination of Amazon Bedrock Knowledge Bases, Amazon Titan Text Embeddings v2, and the Strands Agents framework. The solution is built to help reduce hallucinated content by grounding generated documents in source information from the enterprise knowledge base.
Amazon Bedrock AgentCore is built on the Amazon Bedrock platform and targets the use case of automating presentation creation for financial services teams. Availability begins with a public repository containing code assets, initially for developers and enterprise users. The system is designed to integrate with existing enterprise applications through standard HTTP calls.
"This post walks you through building an AI agent system using Amazon Bedrock AgentCore that automates this workflow," said the company. The solution deploys a supervisor agent on AgentCore runtime, using the Strands Agents framework to orchestrate document generation and summarization tools.
The announcement follows Amazon's recent focus on AI-driven enterprise solutions. The company emphasized the importance of content safety and compliance in the development of the tool, noting that the solution includes Amazon Bedrock Guardrails for content filtering and safety mechanisms.
Amazon did not specify the exact number of enterprises that will use the tool, and the company raised the open question of how the solution will scale to larger document sets. The system is expected to be further developed with new capabilities added through the agent code.
