Nvidia is expanding its agentic AI and digital twin solutions across 10 European cities to improve urban planning and public services. These applications help cities make data-driven decisions on infrastructure and energy efficiency, reducing document search time from weeks to minutes.

In France, the Department of Côte-d’Or, Akila, and ThinkDeep built operations agents using NVIDIA Nemotron, Omniverse, and accelerated computing to manage over 500 public buildings. These agents support energy, compliance, safety, and climate resilience, with total operating costs reduced by 10%.

Port Sud de France in Sète is using ThinkDeep’s agentic platform with Cosmos and Nemotron to analyze cargo and safety data, coordinate operations, and guide secure handling of hazardous materials. In Italy’s Milan region, Galene.AI, Dell Technologies, and TD Synnex are deploying an NVIDIA-powered, locally operated AI factory starting with Cinisello Balsamo.

"These applications aim to simplify administrative work and help people get access to municipal data in seconds versus hours, while keeping local governance of data," said a representative from Galene.AI. The initiative also includes real-time translation, citizen chatbots, and assistance with procurement and funding.

The announcement follows the launch of NVIDIA Cosmos open models and the Metropolis Blueprint for video search and summarization, which help agents interpret video and identify conditions like traffic congestion and safety hazards. These tools are part of a broader effort to scale agentic applications across departments and neighboring municipalities.

Nvidia did not specify the exact timeline for broader deployment but noted that projects are currently in pilot phases, with plans to expand to additional municipalities and countries. The company emphasized the importance of adapting agentic applications to local needs.
