The agreements would enable the US platforms to host the AI model on their respective services, such as Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud. Moonshot is requesting up to 30% of the revenue generated from K3 services, according to three individuals with knowledge of the negotiations. This marks a significant step for the company, as no Chinese AI firm has previously secured a similar deal with a major US cloud provider.
The talks are still in early stages, and a final agreement remains uncertain. Open questions include the specifics of revenue distribution, data access terms, and how token usage will be monitored. The negotiations come amid ongoing scrutiny from US authorities, which have accused Moonshot of intellectual property violations related to Anthropic's Fable model.
