Nordic countries are building a major technology ecosystem, with 1 gigawatt of AI cloud capacity planned by 2027, as NVIDIA supports local startups and infrastructure projects. The region is leveraging NVIDIA's advanced computing capabilities to accelerate innovation across multiple industries.

NVIDIA's collaboration with Nordic companies includes the launch of Sferical One, a shared supercomputer in Sweden with 1,152 GPUs, running on NVIDIA DGX GB300 systems. This infrastructure is being used to develop and deploy AI models securely, according to NVIDIA.

Spotify uses NVIDIA TensorRT-LLM to deliver AI-powered podcast recommendations more efficiently, reducing costs per query while maintaining performance. ABB Robotics has also integrated NVIDIA Omniverse to enhance robot simulation accuracy, achieving up to 99% simulation accuracy and reducing commissioning time by 80%.

"The solution delivers up to 99% simulation accuracy and reduces commissioning time by up to 80%", said ABB Robotics. The integration of NVIDIA's advanced simulation capabilities with ABB's virtual controller enables virtual training and real-world data refinement.

The Nordic region is also seeing rapid growth in startups, with Sweden's ecosystem raising $2.8 billion in the first half of 2026. Companies like Stilta and ConfidentialMind are using NVIDIA's open models to enhance their AI capabilities and improve cross-lingual retrieval accuracy.

NVIDIA did not specify the exact timeline for broader AI infrastructure expansion, and the region's focus remains on scaling its technology ecosystem through continued collaboration with local companies and institutions.
