NVIDIA released RTX Spark laptops on October 17, 2026, saying they bring powerful local AI, content creation and gaming capabilities to portable devices. It is the company's first major Windows laptop update since the launch of the RTX 40-series GPUs.
NVIDIA reported the RTX Spark laptops have up to 1 petaflop of AI compute, measured on the company's AI platform, with up to 128GB of unified memory. That compares with the previous generation's 80GB of unified memory.
RTX Spark is built on NVIDIA Blackwell RTX GPUs and NVIDIA Grace CPUs, targeting creators, gamers and professionals requiring high-performance local AI. Availability begins in October 2026, initially for ASUS, Dell, HP, Lenovo, Microsoft and MSI.
"A New Generation of Windows PCs Has Arrived," said NVIDIA founder and CEO Jensen Huang. "RTX Spark brings decades of NVIDIA accelerated computing innovation into a single superchip."
The announcement follows global launch celebrations, including one in Berlin where Huang made a surprise appearance. NVIDIA framed the significance as a milestone in expanding local AI capabilities to portable devices.
NVIDIA did not say when the laptops will be available in additional markets, and raised the open question of how users will integrate local AI into their workflows. The company said developers can explore tested resources for running local AI on RTX Spark.
