TypeSafe AI released Jev on Sept. 15, saying it produces calibrated decisions instead of text. It is the company's first non-text AI model since its 2024 founding.

TypeSafe reported a third of Fortune 500 companies are already using Jev, measured on enterprise adoption. That compares with no prior figure provided by the source.

Jev is built on a transformer architecture and targets automating tasks rather than generating text or code. Availability began immediately, initially for Fortune 500 companies.

"We have been super good at human language for four years, but it’s not useful for automation because computers speak a different language," said Diogo Almeida, co-founder of TypeSafe. Jev's approach is uniquely suited for automating tasks rather than generating text or code.

The announcement follows Jev's rapid viral success after its Sept. 15 release. TypeSafe said the model's speed and efficiency have made it popular among large corporations.

TypeSafe did not say how Jev's performance compares to other non-text models, and it raised the question of how its approach will scale in more complex tasks. The company said it is focusing on enterprise adoption in the coming months.
