AWS Generative AI Innovation Center (GenAIIC) and Works Human Intelligence (WHI) collaborated to develop two AI agents using Amazon Bedrock AgentCore for HR automation. The project addressed challenges in automating routine tasks like commuting allowance approvals and browser-based HR system operations. The Commuting Allowance Agent streamlined approval processes by migrating from LangGraph to AgentCore, enabling multi-tenancy with Amazon DynamoDB and Cognito.
The Browser Operation Agent reduced token usage by 88% through optimized workflows and prompt caching, achieving a 97% cost reduction. Both agents now leverage AgentCore Observability for operational insights, improving efficiency and reducing manual oversight. The collaboration allowed WHI to focus on business logic while using managed services for log checking and system management.
