Anthropic released the Claude Frontier Academy on October 2, 2026, saying it aims to train 10,000 Frontier Deployed Engineers (FDEs) by the end of 2027. It is the company's first major initiative to address the enterprise AI talent gap since its initial launch of Claude in 2023.

Anthropic reported a $100 million investment, measured through its Academy program, which targets the development of AI engineering skills within enterprise organizations. That compares with the company's prior focus on model development and deployment.

The Academy is built on Anthropic's own engineering practices and targets the deployment of Claude within enterprises. Availability begins with the first cohorts, initially for engineers from Accenture, Bain, Capgemini, and other consulting firms.

"A small team of high-agency people with the right skills, access to Claude, and a deep understanding of how their business runs can transform an entire company," said Steve Corfield, Global Head of Business Development and Partnerships at Anthropic.

The program aims to create agentic systems that change how a business runs, from faster, redesigned processes to new products and services.

The announcement follows the expansion of Anthropic's Claude Partner Network, which includes over 46,000 firms. Anthropic did not say how the Academy will scale beyond the initial 10,000 engineers, and the source raises the question of how the program will impact enterprise AI adoption.
