Anthropic has officially opened its Seoul office and announced new partnerships across the Korean AI ecosystem. The company said the office will serve as a long-term hub for its work alongside Korean leaders in AI innovation. KiYoung Choi, Representative Director of Korea at Anthropic, emphasized the importance of collaboration between innovation and safety in Korea's AI development. 'Korean organizations are building with Claude to bring the benefits of AI to millions around the world,' said Choi. 'Opening an office in Seoul gives a long-term home to our work alongside the people shaping Korean leadership in AI.'

The expansion includes partnerships with major Korean enterprises and startups. NAVER, a leader in cloud and AI innovation in Asia, has deployed Claude Code across its entire engineering organization, with thousands of engineers using it to enhance coding productivity. Nexon, a global online game company, also uses Claude Code to write, review, and ship code for games played by millions. LG CNS, Hanwha Solutions, and Samsung SDS are deploying Claude across their organizations to improve software development and technology solutions. Startups like Channel Corp are integrating Claude into their products, with Channel Talk used by over 230,000 companies across Korea, Japan, and the United States.

Anthropic is also collaborating with the National AI Research Lab (NAIRL), a consortium of leading Korean universities, to support AI safety and research. In the non-profit sector, Good Neighbors Korea is using Claude to help staff analyze program outcomes and reduce administrative work. 'As we deploy Claude across our organization, we expect the efficiency gains to free our staff from administrative workload so they can focus more on what matters most: serving vulnerable children and communities,' said Jeongsun Park, Chief Administrative Officer at Good Neighbors Korea.
