AWS released a serverless Git metrics dashboard using Amazon QuickSight on an unspecified date, saying it provides near-real-time analytics for development activity. It is the company's first software update since the introduction of the AI-Driven Development Lifecycle framework.

The dashboard is built on AWS services and targets teams needing continuous observability into development analytics. Availability begins with a public release, initially for AWS users.

"This solution automates Git metrics collection from GitHub and GitLab to surface live analytics using Amazon QuickSight," said AWS. The solution provides near-real-time insights into Git platform activities.

The announcement follows the launch of the AI-DLC framework, which emphasizes observability in development workflows.

AWS did not say how the dashboard will integrate with other AI tools, and it raises the question of whether AI is speeding up development or just padding commit counts.
