"It's another step toward an everyday AI assistant like the one in the sci-fi film 'Her,'" said Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI. Altman cited the movie as a reference back in 2024 when the first ChatGPT Voice version launched.
The announcement follows the 2024 launch of the first ChatGPT Voice version. OpenAI sees the potential to change how people use computers, but the approach also comes with risks.
