Crusoe, a data center developer with clients including Meta, Microsoft, and OpenAI, raised $3 billion at a $30 billion valuation, Bloomberg reported. The funding round is co-led by Atreides Management and Valor Equity Partners, with participation from Mubadala Capital.

The company recently secured a $13 billion, five-year cloud contract with quantitative trading firm Jane Street for GPUs and AI infrastructure, Bloomberg noted. This marks a significant milestone for Crusoe, which has grown from a crypto mining operation to a major AI infrastructure provider.

"We are focused on delivering scalable, sustainable data center solutions to meet the growing demand for AI infrastructure," said a spokesperson for Crusoe. The company has also been in discussions with investment banks like Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley about a potential IPO.

The recent fundraising follows a $1.38 billion round last October at a $10 billion valuation, showing strong investor confidence in Crusoe's growth trajectory. The company has been expanding its hyperscale data center campuses for clients like Oracle and OpenAI.

Crusoe did not specify its long-term plans beyond its current growth trajectory, and the company remains focused on scaling its operations to meet increasing demand for AI infrastructure. The next steps include further expansion and potential IPO discussions.
