Lovable and Google Cloud announced an expanded multiyear collaboration on Wednesday. The agreement marks a significant escalation in Lovable’s use of Google Cloud services, with a person familiar with the deal stating that the company’s footprint on the platform will grow fivefold. This includes a notable increase in the use of AI capabilities, which will be expanded through access to Anthropic’s Claude and Google’s Gemini models. The deal is expected to benefit Anthropic, which recently secured a $65 billion funding round at a valuation of nearly $1 trillion, as Lovable is one of Europe’s fastest-growing startups.
Lovable said it crossed $400 million in annualized revenue in February, adding $100 million in a single month with just 146 employees. The company claims that more than half of Fortune 500 companies use its product in some fashion. The partnership also integrates Lovable’s new agent into Google Cloud’s enterprise agent marketplace and the Gemini Enterprise Agent Gallery, an arrangement first discussed at Google’s major U.S. cloud conference in April. Additionally, Lovable will integrate with Wiz, Google’s $32 billion acquisition, to enhance security for code written by both humans and agents.
The deal is part of Google’s strategy to attract deep-pocketed enterprises and support the growth of both Lovable and Anthropic. By facilitating enterprise procurement and billing through its marketplace, Google aims to make it easier for Lovable to acquire more enterprise customers. The company is also in the process of raising $85 billion in equity to fund its capital expenditures for the year.
