Meta has expanded its subscription offerings by launching global plans for Instagram, Facebook, and WhatsApp, with pricing starting at $2.99 to $3.99 per month. The new subscriptions, branded as "Plus" plans, provide users with enhanced features such as profile customization, super reactions, and story insights. According to Meta's head of product, Naomi Gleit, "more fun features" will be added in the future.

The company also began testing additional subscription options for creators, businesses, and Meta AI users, which will be integrated under the "Meta One" brand. These plans do not replace the existing Meta Verified service, which focuses on verification and impersonation protection. The Plus plans are tailored to each app, with WhatsApp Plus emphasizing personalization and messaging, while Facebook Plus and Instagram Plus focus on social expression.

The new features include unlimited audience lists for Stories, extended story durations, and custom app icons. Meta confirmed earlier this year it was planning these subscription offerings, aiming to diversify revenue beyond advertising by leveraging its existing user base. The AI-focused plans, including Meta One Plus and Meta One Premium, will start testing in Singapore, Guatemala, and Bolivia next month.
