Meta announced Muse Spark 1.1, a multimodal AI model designed for agentic coding, on Thursday. The model competes with similar offerings from OpenAI and Anthropic. Spark 1.1, first announced in April, can engage in multistep reasoning, manage complex processes, and deploy new features in enterprise systems, according to the company. The model is positioned to help enterprises with automation tasks like large code migrations and bug fixes.
Meta’s pricing for Muse Spark 1.1 is $1.25 per million input tokens and $4.25 per million output tokens. This rate places it slightly above Anthropic’s Claude Haiku 4.5 and OpenAI’s GPT-5.6 Luna. Meta emphasized Spark’s ability to handle large agentic workloads and improve efficiency for businesses. The company’s blog post stated, “Muse Spark 1.1 delivers exceptional performance in personal agentic tasks that require planning and orchestration across a range of external apps and services.”
Meta has released several foundation AI models in recent years. The release of Muse Spark 1.1 was significant enough to prompt CEO Mark Zuckerberg to post on X for the first time in three years. In his post, Zuckerberg called Spark “a strong agentic and coding model at a very low price,” highlighting its strengths in agentic performance, tool use, and computer use. He also mentioned that “more to come soon,” indicating future model releases.
