Naïve, a startup focused on AI infrastructure, has raised $28.5 million in a Series A funding round to automate the setup and operations of businesses. The company’s platform allows developers to use AI agents to handle the bulk of tasks involved in launching and running a business, from setting up payments and email accounts to incorporating a company. According to the company, developers can use Naïve’s API to provision infrastructure, with AI tools like Cursor, Claude Code, or Codex connecting to the platform to automate the process. "I think the one that’s growing the fastest right now is AI automation agencies," said CEO and co-founder Sean Dorje. "You know, the first business that a lot of people start is genuinely just selling agents to other small businesses."
Naïve’s platform enables users to create a U.S. LLC by providing details such as the state, industry code, and business description, though users still need to complete KYC/KYB processes and make payments. The rest of the setup, including email inboxes, virtual cards, phone numbers, and connections to services like Stripe and QuickBooks, can be handled by AI agents. The company also offers templates for various business functions, such as AI SEO and customer support. Naïve has scaled its annual run-rate revenue by 10x to the low double-digit millions over the past six months.
The company’s infrastructure allows for the automation of business operations, but Dorje noted that the cost of running AI agents can be high due to the use of expensive models and resource consumption. To address this, Naïve is developing a model router, memory system, and orchestrator to improve efficiency. The startup is also building a serverless runtime that runs agents in lightweight JavaScript environments, reducing costs. "Part of running an autonomous company and running agents, like that’s your biggest cost line now," Dorje said. "And so the highest growing demand right now, I would say is [for] inference and serverless agents."
