nOps, an AI-powered cloud optimization solution, recently reimagined its Financial Operations (FinOps) analytics capabilities by transitioning to Amazon Bedrock AgentCore. This shift enabled the company to deliver FinOps agents 75% faster, improving response quality and reducing operational complexity. The new foundation helps nOps better serve customers managing commitment optimization across Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and Microsoft Azure. Today, nOps supports customers representing more than USD $4 billion in cloud spend under management.

By adopting Amazon Bedrock AgentCore, nOps addressed challenges such as response latency, system complexity, and innovation drag. The company noted that existing infrastructure patterns introduced friction, with long context messages from API-based data access increasing latency and reducing response consistency. Jordan Stein, a team member, explained, “We were attempting to build advanced AI capabilities on top of infrastructure that wasn’t designed for analytics-driven agents, which made iteration slow, complex, and prone to inaccuracies.”

The transition to a purpose-built architecture centered on Amazon Bedrock AgentCore allowed nOps to focus on domain logic rather than infrastructure. The new architecture includes a Vercel-hosted Next.js web application for customer interaction, a single-agent runtime for orchestration, and a data layer using Databricks Lakehouse Metric Views. This setup improves consistency between conversational answers and dashboard outputs, ensuring accurate and reliable results.
