Suno released its v6 music models on September 9, 2026, offering three versions for paid and free users, with faster and more expressive results than previous models. It is the company's first major model update since the v5 release in September 2025.
Suno reported over two million paying users and topped $300 million in annual recurring revenue in February, according to the source. That compares with more than 100 million people who have created songs with Suno so far.
The v6 models are built on partnerships with Warner Music Group, BMG, and Believe and target a range of use cases, including professional music creation and experimentation. Availability begins with the rollout of three versions, initially for paid and free users.
"The flagship v6 targets paying Pro and Premier rs and promises reliable, precisely polished music across all genres," said Mikey Shulman, CEO and cofounder of Suno. The models are faster, more expressive, and higher quality than their predecessors, he said.
The announcement follows a settlement with Warner Music in November 2025, which allowed Suno to launch licensed successor models. The source notes that Universal and Sony remain plaintiffs in the RIAA-coordinated case from June 2024.
Suno did not say what the v6 learned from, and the company continues to keep details about the training data it used secret. The source says the company plans to offer artist-specific features next, with artists deciding whether to participate and get paid.
