TechCrunch announced its Founder Summit agenda, set for November 4 at Boston’s SoWa Power Station. The event will provide founders with a one-day crash course on startup building, covering critical topics like fundraising, hiring, and AI strategy. It aims to simplify the challenges of starting a company by offering direct access to experienced investors and founders.

The summit will feature sessions on the new rules of raising capital, with Brian Devaney from Underscore discussing investor priorities and common fundraising mistakes. Attendees will also learn about the CEO role evolving with company growth, as shared by Brian Halligan, co-founder of HubSpot and Sequoia partner.

Lior Div, co-founder and CEO of 7AI, will explore the shift to building AI-native companies, emphasizing changes in team structure, product development, and go-to-market strategies. The summit will also include a session on evaluating investors, led by Vineet Edupuganti, co-founder and CEO of Cogent Security, who raised an $11 million round.

"Fundraising has never been easy, but the playbook keeps changing," said Brian Devaney. The session will provide a candid look at today’s fundraising environment, from first checks to term sheets, and the mistakes that can make or break a round.

The summit will also cover how to spot category-defining companies, with Tina Tosukhowong from TDK Ventures introducing her 'King of the Hill' framework. Melissa Taunton from NEA will share insights on early hiring decisions and building resilient teams. Chase Garbarino, co-founder and CEO of HqO, will discuss the advantages of building startups in Boston.

TechCrunch did not specify the exact number of attendees expected, and the event’s success will depend on the engagement of the Boston startup community. The summit aims to provide a day of discussions that turn into months of action for founders.
