Trane Technologies released an AI-powered solution on Amazon Bedrock AgentCore, saying it significantly improves operational efficiency by reducing diagnostic time. It is the company's first major update in building intelligence since expanding its Trane Cloud platform.
Trane reported a 60x improvement in time-to-insight, measured through internal benchmarking with technicians over several weeks. That compares with previous manual workflows requiring 20 minutes of cross-screen analysis.
The solution is built on Amazon Bedrock AgentCore and targets real-time HVAC analytics for building management. Availability begins with a pilot phase, initially for field technicians and service managers.
"In 3–4 weeks, Trane’s engineering team built an AI-powered agentic solution on Amazon Bedrock AgentCore that reduced a 20-minute multi-screen diagnostic workflow to a 20-second natural language interaction," said Mike Cappuccio, Senior Vice President of Technology at Trane.
The announcement follows Trane’s expansion of its Trane Cloud platform to support more connected HVAC systems.
Trane did not say how the solution will scale to other building systems, and it raised the question of how to maintain accuracy as the system evolves.
