xAI announced the release of 21 new multilingual Grok Voice models on July 6, 2026, joining the original five to bring the total to 26. The new voices are available in the realtime Voice Agent API, Text to Speech API, and Grok Voice Agent Builder. These models include Lumen, Castor, Naksh, Atlas, Carina, Zagan, Helix, Orion, Luna, Wellness, Support, and Soft, each designed for specific use cases such as support, characters, commentary, advertising, and education.
Users can control delivery with speech tags like [pause] and . The new voices are natively multilingual, supporting all of Grok Voice's 25+ languages, including English, Arabic, Bengali, Chinese, French, German, Hindi, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, and Turkish. The release also includes improved naturalness for the original five voices, Ara, Eve, Leo, Rex, and Sal, which were retrained with an enhanced recipe to improve pacing, phrasing, and emphasis. The Grok Voice Agent Builder in the xAI console allows users to create custom voice agents or clone their own voice from a minute of audio.
