At Google I/O 2026 on May 20, 2026, Google introduced several new models and tools designed to enhance user experiences in creation, search, and discovery. Among the highlights was Gemini 3.5 Flash, the first in a new series of models that combine advanced intelligence with fast performance. Gemini 3.5 Flash is now generally available through Google Antigravity and the Gemini API in Google AI Studio and Android Studio. The model outperforms Gemini 3.1 Pro on challenging coding and agentic benchmarks, achieving 76.2% on Terminal-Bench 2.1, 1656 Elo on GDPval-AA, and 83.6% on MCP Atlas. It enables users to complete long-horizon tasks in a fraction of the time, often at less than half the cost of other frontier models. Additionally, Google introduced Gemini Omni, a new model capable of generating any output from any input, starting with video. Gemini Omni combines advanced generative media capabilities with an intuitive understanding of physics and cultural context, allowing for more realistic scene creation. Videos generated with Omni include a SynthID digital watermark for verification through the Gemini app, Gemini in Chrome, and Search. *Source: [googleai](https://blog.google/innovation-and-ai/technology/ai/google-io-2026-all-our-announcements/)*
