Samsung Electronics has expanded its use of ChatGPT Enterprise and Codex across its global operations, making the tools available to all employees in Korea and the Device eXperience (DX) division worldwide. This deployment represents one of OpenAI’s largest enterprise launches to date, as the company integrates AI into various functions, including R&D, manufacturing, marketing, and corporate operations. The initiative aims to enhance employee productivity and problem-solving capabilities through advanced AI tools. Samsung plans to use ChatGPT and Codex for both technical and non-technical tasks, ranging from software development to data interpretation and idea generation. The deployment supports Samsung’s broader strategy to accelerate AI adoption across its workforce and operations.

ChatGPT Enterprise provides enterprise-grade capabilities that allow secure and effective use of AI within Samsung’s security policies and governance framework. Employees can leverage these tools for knowledge-based tasks such as information analysis, document drafting, and data interpretation. Codex, which originated as a coding tool, is now being used for a broader range of tasks, including turning ideas into working software and internal tools. The tools are expected to improve productivity for both technical and non-technical teams, enabling faster execution of ideas and solving complex problems.

Samsung Electronics is collaborating with OpenAI to expand its AI infrastructure and workforce transformation efforts. The partnership includes supplying advanced memory semiconductors for next-generation AI infrastructure, as well as integrating ChatGPT Enterprise into its operations. Additionally, Samsung’s adoption of these tools marks a significant step in its global AI strategy, with other Korean companies also utilizing ChatGPT Enterprise, OpenAI APIs, and Codex.
