Epoch AI reported that the share of U.S. adults using AI almost every day more than doubled between March and August 2026. The findings are based on two representative surveys conducted by Epoch AI with Ipsos. The share of users who used AI on at least six out of seven days rose from 8% to 19%.
The March 2026 survey included 2,017 participants, while the August survey included 1,016. Both samples were randomly selected and weighted to reflect the U.S. population.
However, the results are not fully comparable, according to Epoch AI. In March, participants were asked about their overall AI usage, while in August, they were asked about each service separately, with the highest frequency reported.
